Baked Cinnamon Apple Chips

As summer quickly approaches some of my favorite snacks are popcorn and dried fruit. Lately, I cannot get enough of these baked apple chips! I love dehydrated fruit but sometimes the dehydrator doesn't give the right crisp with an apple, so I have been experimenting with the oven! Here the Recipe for you to try this delicious, low-calorie snack! {Warning: They are really addicting!}

Ingredients:

1-2 apples

Use an apple that has a great taste to you. My favorites are Gala apples.

{Side Note: 2 apples seem like a lot as a full apple but 2 medium-large apples end up being a small bowl full of apple chips if you are planning on making these for a lot of friends you may need to plan ahead or invest in a dehydrator! }

1 tsp cinnamon

Or more.. cinnamon is delicious, and in my book, there can never be enough- I typically just tap some on each side

Instructions: 1.) Preheat oven to 200 degrees. {Or higher depending on how accurate your oven temperatures are.} 2.) Using a sharp knife {a mandolin is a time saver if you have one!} slice apples thinly. Discard seeds.

3.) Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange apple slices on it without overlapping. Sprinkle cinnamon over apples.

4.) Bake for 1 1/2 hour, then flip. Continue baking for 1 1/2 hours, until the apple slices are no longer moist. Store in an airtight container.
